The Checklists outline a series of basic requirements which every certified home or remodeling project must meet. In addition, home owners and builders can work together to select features from the Checklist that address erosion control, stormwater management, materials selection, water and energy conservation, indoor air quality and waste reduction. Both the Basic Requirements and these other features are assigned point values. Each new home must earn a minimum of 60 points while remodeling projects must earn 10-60 points depending on the extent of the renovations.
Green Built Home is also available as a co-branded Home Certification with the National Association of Home Builders program. In this process, a National certification and co-branded certificate (NAHB and GBH) will be awarded. To see more info on this program, visit
