Focus on Energy
As of Nov. 1, 2008, Green Built Home (GBH) requires projects in Wisconsin to incorporate Focus on Energy's Single Family Homes Programs.

With this partnership all new construction homes carrying the GBH certification must also include the Wisconsin ENERGY STARŪ Homes certification. For existing homes, select remodeling jobs being certified under GBH are required to have an initial Home Performance with ENERGY STAR energy evaluation from a partnering consultant or qualified contractor.

Focus on Energy is Wisconsin's energy efficiency and renewable energy initiative. Their primary objective for homes is to make them comfortable, durable, safe and energy efficient.
